Coping with feelings

Emotions cubeWe all experience emotions every day of our lives. Sometimes lots of things can happen in our lives that make it difficult to cope.

Some young people who have been affected by another person’s drinking have told us they experience negative emotions.

They may feel worried or anxious, guilty or ashamed. Sometimes they might feel sad, lonely, angry or scared.

One of the first steps in learning to cope with your emotions and feelings is being able to identify them.
