Sad and depressed

sad faceFeeling sad or low is something we all experience.  Some days you might feel sad and not even be sure why.

Feeling sad or low can be especially strong during times of stress or loss.

Changes in mood are normal and there are some things you can do to cope when you feel sad.

Why not try talking to someone, going for a walk or exercising or even just encouraging yourself to have positive thoughts and try to concentrate on the good things in your life.

Depression

Depression is more than feeling sad or low for a few days. People who feel depressed may feel sad, tearful, hopeless, irritable, tired and may feel like they can’t be bothered or withdraw from people around them.

If you think you are depressed then you can get help.
